Someone you love needs help.
You don’t have to know exactly what kind of care they need.
You don’t have to know which agency to call.
Start with what’s happening.

Tell us what you’re noticing and where help is needed. Respitely® works to help get professional care moving.

That’s Care Activation™:

From “someone needs help” to “help is happening.”

START HERE.

Know someone trying to figure out care for someone they love?
Send them this.

Concern often sounds like:

“We should keep an eye on it.”
“Someone should check on her.”
“We need to figure something out.”

But “we” and “something” do not create a plan.

Try this instead:

Here is what we noticed. Here is what needs to happen. Here is who will do it. Here is when we will check again.

You do not have to solve everything.
Someone just has to own the next step. 💚

Save this and turn one concern into one assigned action. 📝

When someone says, “Let me know if you need anything,” what are we actually supposed to say?

Yes, please research home-care agencies?
Yes, please cover four hours of support?
Yes, please sit with Mom while I sleep?

Those are difficult requests—especially when you are already overwhelmed.

So let’s make this easier.

If someone you trusted offered one specific form of help today, what would you want it to be?

Answer with one specific kind of help. 💚

The Day 1 Guide did not begin as a marketing idea.
It began with a question families ask when something changes:

What do I do first?

So we kept listening. We simplified the language. We removed anything that made the first day feel
heavier.

Respitely is building tools that help people move from worry to one clear next step.
Useful products begin with real questions.

Tell us what you wish someone had explained on your first day. 📝

Care shouldn’t have to begin with a crisis.

This week, Respitely® joined the Foster Senior Club to introduce the Evanston Founding Cohort of our Illinois Care Activation Initiative™.

Through the initiative, selected participants will receive professional in-home support delivered by a licensed care partner giving them an opportunity to experience care earlier, before a crisis forces the decision.

We came to listen, answer questions and make the path to care feel a little easier.

What we learn from this founding cohort will help us understand what makes it easier for families to say yes to support earlier.

A little help can make a big difference.

This is Care Activation™ in action.

We talk a lot about coordinating care.
But many families have nothing to coordinate yet.

They are still asking: What is happening? What kind of help do we need? Who should we call? How do we begin?

That is the missing stage.
Care Activation™ turns concern into the first appropriate support.
A resource cannot help a family if the family never reaches it.

Share this distinction with someone working in care.

Respitely is on Caregiving Club On Air. 🎙️

People already want to help. The challenge is giving them a clear, meaningful way to do it.

Our founder and CEO, Laura A. Williams, joined host and gerontologist Sherri Snelling to talk about how CareGifting® turns “I want to help” into professional in-home care a family can actually use—whether that means helping someone begin care or contributing to care already in place.

Thank you to Sherri and Caregiving Club for creating space for this important conversation.

Care was never meant to fall on one person alone.

One person can check in. One can handle groceries. One can research resources. One can contribute toward professional support. One can give the primary caregiver a break.

Everyone does not have to do the same thing.
Everyone can do something. 💚

Who belongs on your care roster?

Tag one person who reliably shows up. 🤝🏼

This week, Respitely was a proud sponsor of the Evanston Chamber MashUp at Northwestern University. We were there to introduce a different way of thinking about care.

Care is a family issue. A workforce issue. A healthcare issue. A community issue. And eventually, it is a human issue for every one of us.

CareGifting® gives ordinary people, employers and communities a practical way to participate.

Because care was never meant to fall on one person alone. 💚
