I apologize I've been MIA 🥰

I recently took on a new project thats been more full time, a chaotic dumpster fire, AND a dream opportunity all at the same time 😅

You know I love design but did you know I also love real estate too?

I've stepped back into an old skill set of mine and become the onsite Property Manager for a building in Wicker Park.

Not only do I get to work with one of my best friends, this new work also aligns me with even more design opportunities ✨️

I was first brought in to consult on the interior design of this property and then one thing lead to another and now I'm having my cake and eating it too.

Not only do I get to find a little stability with this gig but its also gifted me a portfolio of projects and properties to be the in house designer for: new brands, new websites, property marketing, interior design... it's kind of incredible! A charcuterie of all my favorite things really!

That said, the last 30 days - Mercury Retrograde had its way with this new opportunity in more ways than one.

After getting my barings more and more every day, sage-ing the sh*t out of the building, and adding a few crystals for protection... the chaos seems to be dissipating...

I really like the people I'm wprking with and meeting so its fun but I also miss working from home with the cats.

During this time Ive still been managing my brand projects: New signs for an acupuncture client, new websites for a PR company and my DJ client, consulting for an Arts Org...

Little to sag Ive been drowning in bliss 😂

I'm back now!
Mercury Retrograde ends on the 23rd!
Life is good!
Chaos breads new-ness and amazing opportunities!

I'm exhausted, grateful, and cant wait to catch up with everyone.

🪄 This week I'm working on some amazing projects:

*I just presented the design concepts for a new logo and brand identity for a PR Agency and they loved the direction! Now I just need to export all the file types so they can use it.

*Refining a clients Success Tracker to include a press kit, event calculator, and event planning tabs.

*Joining forces with a strategic partner to support a local coffee shop with their brand expansion. This one especially fun because it's not your average coffee shop and there is amazing potential for unique and abstract branding. Making the coffee the start of the show vs the cafe. It will be fun to speak with them!

*A weekend office makeover. A past muse found a new office space and we are doing a weekend reno! We have full approval from the property owner, all hands on deck, and all the moving pieces to make this epic. I'm most excited for the ceiling decor as this client offers acupuncture and other treatments that have patients looking up from the table. We're going bold on the ceiling is all I can say!

Alright my CEOs, founders, visionaries and muses...

I know it goes against your nature...

I know you want to go-go-go and do-do-do...

*but* after multiple conversations about this in the past 24 hours its time for a public announcement and permission for you to take a B R E A K.

Yes ~ Do as I say!

You just finished that launch...

You just wrapped up that event...

You're done with that thing on Monday...

Right... So here's what I need you to do... PLAN A RESET!

I often refer to this as "Identity Maintenance"

What are those things that help you to reset your energy, creativity, productivity, and mind?

Mine:

- Restocking the fridge

- Doing the laundry

- Buying a new book

- Refilling my tea drawer

- Taking a mid-day nap (Gasp!)

Here's the thing.

We are not steam engines with infinite power systems.

We are like tides with ebs and flow.

If you have been "exhaling," pushing, powering through... welp... it's time to RECHARGE with a bit of an inhale. An intentional break.

If you charge your phone every night... why are you not charging your mind, creativity, and productivity.
