October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and this year’s theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent." People with disabilities bring skills, creativity, and perspective that strengthen every workplace. Yet, hiring barriers and bias still shut many out. Only about 38% of people with disabilities are employed, compared to 75% of those without disabilities. This month is a chance to raise awareness, challenge bias, and promote inclusive practices that benefit everyone.

Wow, we are so proud of the Garden Center Superstars who put on not only one but two FANTASTIC performances of The Lion King. We know how hard they worked on this project and the outcome was amazing. Thank you to Scotty for making the magic happen and thank you to all of you who came out to see the shows! We can't wait to see what they do next.

What an incredible week for our INCREDIBLE DSPs! We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every one of our DSPs - you are the best. You are there every day in the lives of the people we serve - assisting in everyday needs, taking folks to new and exciting experiences, or being someone to laugh and talk with - just to name a few things!

The heart you put into what you do each day and the care you do it with is SO important. We wouldn't be the same GCS without YOU!
