Google Slides is my favorite of all Google Workspace as, in my opinion, it’s the most fun and versatile. It can be used for so much more than presenting in Education: drag and drop activities, animated stories, choose your own adventure, interactive notebooks, collaborative notebooks, digital galleries or portfolios, meme creation, gif creation, game-show style games, embedded video lessons with interactive assessments... and I can go on! Reach out if you need help with any of the aforementioned.
But, what one must remember when using Slides is to design them so they’re aesthetically pleasing and not distracting. A clean look with consistent fonts, colors, sizing, and spacing helps students to learn better and not be distracted by visual clutter. Carefully planned animations can help with lesson points, too! Check out this 5-min tutorial to get the basics down. Consider even creating your own Slides template!
