With iOS 14.5, Apple is enforcing their requirement for apps to ask for your permission to track your usage for targeted ads. Apple calls this App Tracking Transparency or ATT for short. Now Facebook and Instagram are trying to scare users into allowing App Tracking by saying it keeps Facebook free of charge. THIS IS SIMPLY A SCARE TACTIC. Rest assured Facebook will continue to make money off of ads whether you allow app tracking or not. You do not have to let Facebook or Instagram track you to keep from paying for it. Facebook is a free service, period. Do not let Facebook or Instagram bully you into giving up your privacy.
