In 1992, I was busying away on my first computer - an Apple II GS - with my first program "Paint Shop Pro". As a 13 year old entrepreneur, I started a stationery business called "Starlight Company". (Any guesses on the inspiration for that name?) I enlisted the help of 2 friends as my sales team, and we were off and running. For $15, you would get a folder with your personal design on the front, 2
0 sheets of stationery with your design in the header/footer, return address printed envelopes, a bookmark with a home-made yarn tassel, and a pen. All printed on a color dot matrix printer. Needless to say, the technology has improved. We have fancier tools and way better printers. But the love of design, the desire to delight, and the wish to create a unique canvas on which you can share your message - well, that hasn't changed at all.
