📱 When’s the last time you actually looked at your website on your phone?

Not your laptop. Your phone.

Pull it up right now and look at it like you’re a customer visiting for the first time.

Can you read everything easily?
Is the menu easy to use?
Are the buttons easy to tap?
Does anything look awkward, cut off, or out of place?

Sometimes a website looks perfect on your computer and tells a completely different story on a smaller screen. 👀

Not every trend is for your brand, and that's okay.

It's easy to see something taking off and think, “We need to do that too.”

But being relevant doesn't mean jumping on everything that's popular.

Before you join the next trend, ask:

👉 Does this actually feel like us?
👉 Would our audience care?
👉 Are we doing this for them or for the algorithm?

Sometimes the best marketing decision is knowing when to sit one out.

It's: who are the right 3 people who'd actually hire me, and how do I get in front of them?

Likes and followers feel good. But they don't pay invoices. Clarity does.

Hot take: you don't need to be on every platform.

You don't need 400,000 followers to reach the 3 people who'll actually hire you.

You need to be where THOSE 3 people are spending their time.

For most small businesses in small towns, that's still Facebook. Not TikTok. Not Instagram.

Before you spend hours creating content, ask yourself:
👉 Where does my actual customer hang out online?
👉 Where are they already looking for what I offer?

Let your audience decide your platform and not the trends

Unpopular opinion: your follower count doesn't matter as much as you think. 👀

Instagram now shows your content to people who DON'T follow you. The explore page, the reels tab, most people spend their time there, not on their followers' feeds.

You can have zero followers and go viral tomorrow.

So stop obsessing over the number and start obsessing over:
✅ Is my content actually good?
✅ Does my profile convert visitors into enquiries?
✅ When they click my link, does my website close the deal?

The follow count is a vanity metric. Your website is where the money is.
