I’ve gone back and forth on starting a Substack for a while now. I tend to have what I would describe as a “squirrel” brain. Now add mom brain to that and you can only imagine the number half completed tasks in my life…

Part of me wondered if I really had anything worth writing about. After all, I’m a painter, not a writer.

But the more I thought about it, painting isn’t the only way I process the world. Sometimes I need other creative outlets. So I’ve started my Substack, “Studio Notes.”

My newsletters will remain with important studio updates, work releases, and any formal matters you should know about, but Studio Notes will be a little more loosely written, an honest and transparent space, and hopefully an entertaining read for your weekday morning coffee!
