A big thanks to Jeff from JTR Speakers for personally delivering our new subwoofers for the TekScene demo room! 🔊🔥

We’re talking FOUR JTR Captivator RS1s, each packing an 18-inch driver and a 2,400-watt RMS amplifier. That’s 9,600 watts of combined amplifier power ready to bring movie soundtracks to life! 💥

We’re excited to partner with another great South Carolina business and offer the full line of JTR Speakers products to our customers here in the Midlands.

We can’t wait to get these beasts set up and welcome you into our demo room to experience what serious home theater bass feels like!

Thanks again, Jeff! More exciting things coming soon at TekScene. 😎

🔊 New Tool Alert: Subwoofer Placement Calculator

Getting bass right isn't about buying a bigger subwoofer — it's about where you put it. Room dimensions, seating position, and boundary distances all affect how even (or uneven) your bass sounds.

We just launched a free Subwoofer Placement Calculator on our site to take the guesswork out of it. Plug in your room's dimensions and it'll help you find placement options that minimize boomy nulls and peaks across multiple seating positions.

Try it out: tekscene.com/tools/subwoofer-placement-calculator

Whether you're DIYing your setup or thinking about a full home theater build, this is a great first step toward better bass. 🎬🏠

Model how subwoofer and seating positions interact with your room's modes. Compare placements, see seat-to-seat bass consistency, and find the arrangement that gives every seat the same low end.

🎬 There's a moment every home theater owner knows.

Lights dim. The screen lights up. And for a second, you forget you're in your living room — because what you're looking at doesn't look like a projection anymore. It looks real.

That's the JVC U.S.A. difference. Nobody does black levels and contrast like JVC, and it's why we've built TekScene's reference theater around their glass. When you watch a JVC projector bring a night sky to life, or hold detail in a shadow that other projectors just crush to mud — you get it instantly.

And right now, it's a great time to bring that experience home.

🏆 DLA-NZ500 / DLA-NZ700 — Native 4K, JVC's legendary D-ILA contrast
SAVE $1,000

🏆 DLA-NZ800 — 8K e-shift, JVC's flagship image quality
SAVE $2,000

This is the kind of picture that makes you cancel movie night plans just so you can stay home and watch it on your own screen. Whether you're building a dedicated theater or upgrading your living room, this is the moment to do it right.

📅 Promotion ends 9/30/2026 — reach out and let's talk about what JVC can do for your space.

The JVC U.S.A. exibition last weekend was easily our favorite one for projection. Showing the best blacks and contrast along with 8K content that delivers an incredible cinema-at-home experience.

We have the same top of the line NZ900 projector in our showroom, paired with the industry leading Stewart Filmscreen Studio Tek material. Please reach out to experience the best home theater display technology firsthand.

The importance of proper light control in a dedicated theater room. See the before and after of partial ceiling blackout, under same conditions. It is easy to notice how much better the contrast and black when removing unwanted room reflexions.

Digital Signage Done Right — Central Bark

We recently wrapped up a digital signage install for Central Bark, spanning three displays across the full width of their reception area. Instead of static price sheets and printed menus, guests now see a dynamic digital board cycling through services, pricing, and photos for day care, boarding, grooming, and training.

The best part? Content is managed centrally over the network, so staff can update pricing or promos from anywhere — no laptops, no USB sticks, no touching the hardware.

If your business is still running static signage or a printed menu board, this is what a modern reception area can look like. Reach out if you'd like to talk about a similar setup for your space.

We just received a custom projector hushbox from Michael Franks Design Co.. and wow, this thing is something else. 🤩

As an authorized reseller for Michael Franks Design Co., we're proud to bring this level of quality to our clients. They really do mean it when they say "Crafted without compromise."

From the moment it arrived, every detail impressed. The packaging and presentation set the tone right away, and the product itself delivers on every promise. The finish is flawless, the design is thoughtful, and the build quality is exactly what a premium custom install deserves.

The magnetic glass port attachment is a standout touch, beautifully executed and genuinely practical. This is the kind of craftsmanship that makes a real difference in a high-end theater environment.

If you're building a serious home theater and projector noise is a concern, reach out. This hushbox deserves a spot in the conversation.

Hosted a home theater enthusiast meetup at the demo room this weekend and what an awesome afternoon it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, it really made for a special event. The conversations were fantastic, the questions were great, and the knowledge everyone brought to the table made it so much more than just a demo day. That's exactly what this hobby is all about, people genuinely passionate about the experience, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

I came away with new connections, new perspectives, and a renewed appreciation for this community. Hope you all did too!

A special thank you to JVC U.S.A. for their help and support in getting the RS4200 (NZ900) in the room, it made for one hell of a demo. 🙏

Looking forward to doing it again soon!

Some weekends are busier than others. 🙂

My son had a lacrosse tournament this weekend, and on Sunday — Father's Day — my daughter Meliane joined me on a job. Two TV mounts, back to back. An 85" on drywall, and a 65" above a stone fireplace. Different walls, different challenges, same attention to detail.

Honestly? Spending Father's Day with my daughter on a job site was the best gift I could ask for. She was a natural.

Some weekends you win on the field. Some weekends you win on the wall. Proud dad. Happy client. Best Father's Day. 💪
