Cathy had her colors done in 1985 and has been referencing the winter color palette she was given for 40 years! She noticed that when her hair turned gray that the winter colors she had been wearing were too much for her. So she decided to come see me knowing that color analysis has become more refined since she experienced the original four season method in 1985.

We did a full 12 season color analysis without me knowing her previous result. During the color test it was clear that cool colors were important for her so we tested the summer and winter seasons to find her best match.

The result: cool summer

Why summer? Cathy harmonized better with the muted, gentle shades of summer than the dark, intense colors of winter. Both black and bright white were too harsh and while some of the winter colors looked good we preferred the summer tones every time. Swipe to see the result!

I selected the color Purple Up as the color that represents me when I did the color oracle activity at the Drops de Cor color analysis training. It aligns with me in two different ways:

From a seasonal color analysis perspective, it’s a spring purple, making it one of the colors that brings out my natural features.

From a color energy perspective, it represents creativity, originality, authenticity, and vibrant energy.
A perfect match for someone who’s a designer and color analyst!

I think it’s exciting that we can use color to help us look our best and express who we are. This works both professionally and personally.

Warm & bright colors often communicate things like:
– Energy
– Confidence

But here’s the important part: those colors look different for every season.

A Cool Summer’s “warm & bright” isn’t the same as a Warm Autumn’s. And, that’s exactly why seasonal color analysis matters.

I’m excited to share that Two Violets is now located inside in Chanhassen!!

No more power cleaning my house before appointments and hoping the dogs behave (they liked the visitors — a lot!).

Loved collaborating with and .colorco to provide mini personal color analysis sessions at a women’s networking event in Minneapolis last week.
