Nothing beats doing it in person.

Last few weeks we welcomed our newest franchise owners to Wize Computing Academy® in for hands-on training. Over several days they worked through all aspects of business, our curriculum platform side by side with our team, and got a feel for what a Wize classroom actually looks like from the front of the room.

And yes, we made time for a few meals together, because franchise ownership is a long game, and the relationships you build in week one matter.

Wize beyond their years. 💜

Wize Computing Academy of Flower Mound, Southlake, Grapevine & Colleyville hosted Robotics Merit Badge Workshop this Saturday with Boy Scouts Troop 928, and it was a success! 🤖

So proud of these Scouts for building, programming, and problem-solving their way through it!

Here is a moment we get to see every week: a kid shows the class something they built, and their whole posture changes. I made that happen.

This fall, Wize after school enrichment returns to The Highlands School with a track for every student on campus, PreK through 8th grade.

Our littlest makers in PreK to 1st join Tinker Tank on Thursdays, becoming Tiny Inventors who build zooming cars and smart gadgets with their own hands, then code their first Minecraft adventures in the spring. Everything is hands on and picture based, so no reading is required.

2nd to 4th graders join Robo Preneurs, also Thursdays, building robots that move and sense the world and pitching their own startup ideas, then taking over in the spring as Game Studio Directors designing 3D worlds, AR and VR.

And 5th to 8th graders join The Founder Track on Fridays: advanced robotics, real startup concepts tested with real users, then a spring in The Dev Studio with precision 3D engineering, Minecraft modding, and learning to use AI responsibly. No experience needed. Big ideas required.

One hour right after dismissal, on campus, $30 a class. Both Thursday clubs meet at the same hour, so siblings build together and you make one pickup. The fall semester starts September 10 and 11, and spots are limited.

Robots, code and big ideas are back at Coppell ISD schools.

There is a moment we get to see every week: a kid stares at something they built, it finally moves or finally works, and their whole face changes. I made that happen.

Our after school clubs return the week of September 8 at Town CenterElementary, Canyon Ranch Elementary, Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, Denton CreekElementary, Valley RanchElementary and North and East middle schools.

One hour right after the bell, at your child's own campus, $30 a class.

They build robots, code games, design in 3D and pitch their own ideas, and they walk out taller.

We are a Coppell company with 11.5 years of these moments. A few spots left at every campus: campscui.active.com/orgs/WizeAcademy?season=3818435

We wrapped up summer with a team lunch alongside our interns and Wize Computing Academy® staff.

Thanks for all the hard work this season, it was a success and we know that from feedback from learners, partners and families!

Two days in with a room full of Educators, a stack of LEGO Education SPIKE™ Prime kits, and a whole lot of coding.

We just wrapped the in person portion of our Robotics and Computational Thinking Workshop. Teachers built, coded, tested, watched things fail, and built again. That moment when a motor finally spins the right way and the whole table cheers never gets old.

Thank you to every teacher who gave up part of their August for this. Your students are in good hands.

And, thank you to WeTeach_CS for sponsoring this professional development workshop!

Harmony School of Excellence - Dallas parents, our after school STEAM program is starting in September!

Fridays from 1:15 to 2:00, on campus. No second pickup, no driving across town.

It runs across two semesters and the curriculum changes between them, so a kid can do the whole year without repeating anything. Fall is Founders Track. Students build with LEGO SPIKE Prime, then take their own design and turn it into a real startup idea they test with users and pitch. Spring is Dev Studio, where they move into 3D design and printing, AI powered worlds, and Minecraft modding.

Coding and AI, robotics, AR and VR, Minecraft Education, design, and entrepreneurship, all in one program.

A few clips from our summer interns at Wize Computing Academy®.

They spent the summer with us assisting with camps, helping kids get robots to do what they were supposed to do, and cleaning up after a lot of glue and LEGO. Most of them had never stood in front of a room of eight year olds before day one.

They sat with the kids who finished early and needed something harder, and with the ones who got stuck and needed someone patient. That second group is where most of the learning actually happens, and it is the part that does not show up in a lesson plan.

Thank you to all of them. The summer was better for having you here.

Meet Aisha. She's 14, heading into 9th grade, and she just co-presented Wize Computing Academy at a national franchise industry event in Annapolis, Maryland.

She wasn't there to hand out brochures. She took the stage, held the mic, and told a room full of franchise consultants what it's like to grow up learning to code, build robots, and explore AI and STEAM from an early age.

Aisha has been a Wize student since she was young. She codes in multiple languages, works with robotics, and carries herself with the kind of confidence you can't fake. When she finished speaking, people in the room didn't just clap. They came up and told her she was the highlight of the event.

We hear a lot about the importance of girls in STEM. At Wize, we see it in action every day. Our students don't just learn technology skills. They develop the ability to communicate, think critically, and show up in rooms they've never been in before and own the moment.

Aisha is one of more than 50,000 students across 350+ school and community center partnerships in the US, Canada, and India. She's proof that when you give kids the right tools and the right environment, they rise to the occasion.

This is what Wize Computing Academy builds. Not just coders. Confident, capable young people who are ready for whatever comes next.

We are nine days out and still have seats..

If you teach in the area and have been meaning to get robotics or computational thinking into your classroom, this is two full days of doing it, not watching slides. You leave with lessons you can run the following week, aligned to TEKS.

The $800 fee is fully waived with code T-PCP26. August 6 and 7 in Irving. We are running it with UT Austin and WeTeach_CS.

Registration is closing soon since we have to lock in materials and room counts. If you have been thinking about it, this is the week.
