We've been quietly working on Reach v2.0 for some time now. I'm happy to report that the iOS version is just about done and going in for app review shortly. More details to follow!

So our next update will be a major release. Reach will be easier to use, more fun to explore, safer and more powerful. We're also going to launch Reach for Android.

You probably don't use Reach a whole lot today. You might not even know what it does. But if there's something we may share, it's a sense that the ability to communicate effectively empowers us all to accomplish more – to know more, do more and eventually, to be more together.

We started building Reach not just to make a new messenger, but to empower us all to do more by enabling communication that may not otherwise occur. We want to make it possible to communicate with every person, and importantly, every place, in a simple, useful and universal way.

Our next release wont be perfect, but it will get us closer to that goal. In 2014, if you want to text your apartment building before you get there, shouldn't you be able to do that?

Who would it be useful to message whom you can't easily message today? Your classmates? People in another neighborhood? A favorite store located an hour away? Whatever the answer is, in about a month it's going to be possible for 94% of the devices in the world.

We fixed a database quirk that affected Reach over the last few days. If you have any trouble, just remove and reinstall it to fix the issue.

Version v1.23 is now available in the app store. Bug fixes, optimizations and a few tweaks to make Reach play nicely with Android.

Reach v1.22 has been released! This version replaces v1.2 and v1.21. Upgrade/download in the app store.

Making chat rooms just got easier! Now the map starts at your location, displays the rooms already there, and clicking on a dot shows you its name and size. https://connectwithreach.com.
