Message me for prints or commissions My Name is Kat Jobgen, I've been creating for over 20 years and I'm blessed to have always had a natural talent for creating what I see. I began drawing at the age of 5, spending hours studying and drawing animals that I was surrounded by on my family's farm and ranch in the Badlands of SD. When I got into Jr. High, I began drawing the human body and the entire

muscle system, I was little obsessed with knowing how things worked and moved. This was probably because I was well into being a very serious soccer player and athlete, at this point in my life, which went on to pay for my education and take me around the world as a young adult. I was enthralled with learning about ancient civilizations and would spend hours drawing temples and reading about the ancient past and I studied plants and herbs for fun as I still do to this day. I studied art and design in college and this is where I began painting more seriously. I was a full time scholarship soccer athlete, academic scholarships recipient and the first Jobgen to put herself through college and receive a degree. Well I have three degrees by now, but it was a big accomplishment from a girl from SD to achieve on her own, pursue her passions, travel the world and gain so much knowledge and experience through the journey. My passion was always within creating, whether I was on the soccer fields or in the art studio, I spent many late night hours in the college studio focusing on my practice and technique and losing space and time in the middle of my creation process. I guess that started my routine of creating at night as I've alway had to maintain another means of supporting myself and others in other industries and well there was a always training soccer on top of that but I’ve always been creating whether in the studio or after a full day and into a late night as my masterpieces have taken form. I've had a career as a professional soccer player and as a designer and I have learned many lessons and inspirations along the way as I've grown my spirit and passions. My beautiful art studio is surrounded by nature and is tucked in the forest above Boulder CO. I've lived in Colorado for the past 12 years and I'm happy to say Colorado is my home where I continue to live, create and inspire. It feels so amazing to have developed my world to this point where I can now concentrate on my fine art and my passion and share my conscious creations in order to inspire an uplift to humanity. I believe we are all part of this beautiful creation here on earth and our talents should be shared for creating more beauty, connection and inspiration to the world. I blend inspiration from nature and poetic design into my visionary work with forms of surrealism, as I find a lot of my ideas and inspirations come from a deep part of my subconscious and they show themselves in dreams, deep meditations or plant medicine journeys. I'm a visionary and inspirational artist utilizing all of my talents and passions into an artform that speaks from my heart and comes from my soul and is wrapped into the mystical and magical, ancient knowledge and the beauty and perfection of nature. Each piece whispers a story and has come from over 20 years of transmuting life into creation. I hope my work speaks to you as it has to me while I was creating it and I can support you and your space for adding beautiful visions and higher levels of consciousness to our beautiful world we live within.
