🔐 STOP USING THE SAME PASSWORD EVERYWHERE! 🔐
WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF IT!!
It might feel convenient… but reusing your password is one of the BIGGEST mistakes you can make online 😬
Here’s why 👇
💥 1. One Hack = Everything Compromised
If a hacker gets your password from ONE site… they will try it on:
📧 Email
📱 Facebook
💳 Banking apps
And just like that—you’re locked out 😳
📂 2. Data Breaches Happen ALL the Time
Even big companies get hacked. If your password is reused, your info is already at risk.
Last year the Louisiana DMV database was hacked, losing individuals full name, address, date of birth, address on file, social security numbers, and drivers license credentials.
🕵️ 3. Hackers Use “Credential Stuffing”
They use bots to test your email + password on hundreds of websites in seconds.
✅ So What Should You Do Instead?
✔️ Use a different password for each account
✔️ Make passwords long & unique (not “Password123”)
✔️ Consider a password manager to keep track of everything
⚠️ REMEMBER:
Your password is the key to your digital life—don’t use the same key for every door
If you must use the same password, keep your passwords for important accounts 1 separate password than the passwords for less important accounts in case a data breach.
Use long complex passwords or, a method proven to be more effective, use a password phrase such as " 0neBeautifulTulipScent8$ ".
Use a designated email and password for important accounts like banking logins, any health and life insurance or health care logins, bill portal login, and etc..
