Recommended for editing Spectrum is the C # extension to VS Code. A Spectrum extension will have to be written though for complete support of Spectrum. Since Spectrum software coding is identical to C # (some small differences actually), the C # VSC works well. The hardware side of Spectrum has new objects, types, and constructs that are not recognized by the C # editor.
