Bike To Work Day is an annual event organized by Way to Go — a program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments — in partnership with eight regional transportation management associations. The goal of Bike to Work Day is to encourage biking for your commute in order to reduce travel stress and traffic congestion.

This year, the theme was "Ace your ride," meant to invoke a sense of nostalgia. All of the assets for this theme were designed by me:

T-shirts
Posters
Billboard ads
Digital kiosks for pedestrians
Hats
Buttons
Stickers
Bookmarks
Design for the custom beer for our event
Designs for screenprinting on shirts and bags

This is one of our biggest projects of the year, so I'm certain that I'm missing something. This project usually starts about a year in advance and continues to grow ,leading right up to a few days before the event itself. Although I'm honored that my design was chosen, I'm so glad that the event is over.

Have you been around downtown Denver lately? If so you may have seen the advertisements for the upcoming summer Bike to Work Day - presented by Way to Go and DRCOG. I had the honor of designing the campaign theme, as well as all of the assets for it, and I can't wait to show you all the photos from the event itself!

Bike to Work Day is a twice yearly event put on by DRCOG and Way to Go. The event is made to encourage people to bike or take public transportation in order to ease congestion and improve air quality.

The event is put on in the winter and the summer. This year I had the selected design for both events, but the summer one hasn’t taken place yet.

PSA:

It's not often that I have to offer a refund to a client. The rare (literally 2) occasions that this has happened, it's been due to a client mismatch. Especially not after I've already completed or started on work.

If this does happen, I do not offer same day refunds. I am a service provider - not a product. You can't just hand me back over work that's been started on already - the work is already out there. Whether you use the work or not, it's already been created and time has already gone into it.

It's tacky to share work before the client does, but since he has now I can share what I've been working on for the past month or so. Two designs, two versions.

I announced this quietly on my personal page, but this time it's official - I'll be leaving candles behind soon.

I've decided to focus on the things I enjoy making the most which are melts and sprays.
