Picture the first morning of a multi-day workshop. A room full of people who have never met, and one by one, each person stands up to introduce themselves. Most of the room is doing the same thing: writing down a name, usually just the first one, while the speaker keeps talking. By the time they look up, they have missed what the person said. That is a lot of brainpower spent on spelling instead of listening.
What if the names were already on the page?
And it keeps working for the whole workshop. Your attendees can use it in conversations around the table, jot down what another attendee said, and mark who to follow up with.
In this free Future Ready Friday session, Vickie Sokol Evans, MCT, walks you through a simple plan. We start by exporting the list from the registration system into Excel, so we're working with exactly what each attendee typed in. Then we build the handout from it.
You'll learn how to:
• Start from your registration export instead of retyping a list
• Build Full Name and Location columns in Excel
• Try the same task with Copilot and compare the results
The rule for the session: Registration types it, Excel moves it, you verify.
