Gladiatrix - acrylic 18x24”. Throwback to this time last year. Still one of my very favorites, I’m surprised she never sold. But still available! Although a part of me hopes I’ll get to keep her. At the time I was reading the Red Sonja novel by Gail Simone Gail Simone and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the sequel ever since!

Here be dragons. Needed an evening of not taking anything seriously. Saw this new book at BookPeople and thought it would be fun to draw some varieties of the Draconus Rex. I also must thank the folks at Karin for sending me a set of Brushmarkers Pro to try out. I’d not had a chance to use them properly til now and they were perfect for this!

Original drawing vs. final album cover. IX was one of our …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead stranger album cover ideas. I thought it would be cool to do a cover where the artwork was just our band name. Over the years I’ve lost track of the other drawings, sold a couple. But I still have this one, the “Us”. Which I think is symbolic wouldn’t you agree?
