Box Metaphor Studios Box Metaphor Studios creates apps for music education.

The idea that lead to the idea that lead to the idea that lead to the founding of Box Metaphor Studios originated in Austin, Texas. A music theorist had tried to put his training to use, but after finding few job postings calling for a master's degree in music theory, he created his own opportunity. Developing apps for music theory and aural skills seemed like the ideal solution, especially after

teaching undergraduate students and seeing how few opportunities they had to practice these skills outside of the classroom. After this idea germinated for a period of time, this music theorist acknowledged that his artistic abilities didn't progress after 3rd grade, so his talented illustrator friend James Lloyd agreed to help out provided he put the crayons away. Here's the team:
