Been reflecting lately…💭
The more I create, the more I’ve realized that beautiful branding isn’t actually my end goal when creating design resources for brand owners.
When I first started designing and curating stock image collections, I was focused on making them beautiful. Of course I still care deeply about the visual appeal, but my perspective has evolved as I go about building my own brand.
I’m not just creating designs and images. I’m creating tools.
As business owners, it often feels like we’re constantly in overdrive. We’re responding to clients, answering emails, running errands, and trying to build something meaningful all at the same time. And in between all of that, we’re expected to create content, update our websites, send newsletters, and make it all look cohesive.
Every time I curate a collection now, I ask myself one question:
Will this make someone’s job easier? Will it help someone build a homepage without spending hours searching through dozens of stock websites? Will it make writing that next email feel less overwhelming because the visuals are already taken care of?
I don’t want to create more content for people to sift through. I want to create collections that remove decision making fatigue. Collections that are cohesive, versatile, intentional, and ready to support your brand wherever you show up.
Beautiful branding doesn’t just mean looking good at the cost of your time and resources. It should give you back some of your time. It should be functional and ignite your creativity and make you feel confident, inspired, and ready to show up with ease and excitement.
Those are some thoughts floating around in my head lately… and they’re shaping what I’ve been working on lately.✍🏻🖤
