Old World Wisconsin
9-20-26
This 8″ x 11″ acrylic painted on a wood slab was inspired by Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, Wisconsin. For many many years we lived just on the boarder of Wisconsin and this was one of our favorite places to go when I was homeschooling my children. It was a living history museum that were work the buildings that were being shown. They would cook, churn butter, make rope, and during the fall they would harvest the field. I remember one particular time we went there and it started to snow while we were riding a wagon for transport. The flakes were huge, and we were just a little concerned that we would have a hard time getting home, but the memory that it gave my family, was priceless! I decided to make this a 3D picture with the rope and towel that you can lift up and see the building underneath it. The Chicken is textured with Acrylic medium as well. The frame is a piece of wood with bark on the left and right. Very beautiful piece.
Mediums include Acrylic Paint, acrylic gel medium, miniature drying towel on a wood slab.
Original piece $200 with no prints available. One of a kind (shipping not included).
