Microsoft support for Windows 10 ends in October of 2025
Not all computers can be upgraded to Windows 11. Windows 11 has specific minimum hardware requirements that some computers or laptops do not meet, and they will not upgrade.
Why is this important?
This is important because when support runs out, Microsoft will no longer issue security updates, leaving your systems vulnerable.
Why should you care?
Cyber criminals also know that support will end in October 2025. They are aware of of weaknesses in Windows 10 that they will not exploit until Microsoft no longer provides support to fix the issues. At that point, you will be vulnerable to the risk of attack.
What should you do now?
You should audit all the computers on your network to determine which can be upgraded to Windows 11 and which cannot. Instead of buying a lot of computers at once, you can spread the replacements and upgrades over time to cause the least disruption to your business so that in October, the lack of Microsoft support for Windows 10 will not affect you.
How we can help you.
The first thing we will do is audit your existing computers to determine which ones can be upgraded and which need to be replaced.
Once we have identified the ones that can be upgraded, we will upgrade those to Windows 11
You will now have a solid plan for moving forward so that you do not get caught by an October surprise.
