We're incredibly proud of our own Zac Rockefeller for competing in — and *winning* — Dancing with the Martin Stars! 🌟

Zac didn't just show up, he showed out. He and his dance partner Emily Matos, took the top spot as Overall Champions in this year's competition, helping raise critical funds for Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., an organization doing life-changing work to support moms, babies, and families in the Stuart, Fla. community.

At Key Texting, we believe better communication builds better communities. That starts with showing up for the people and causes that matter. Zac embodied that belief on and off the dance floor, proving that when you lead with heart and purpose, incredible things happen.

We're grateful to have teammates like you who invest in making our communities stronger. Congrats, Zac. You made us all proud. 🧡💙

We just wrapped the Birge & Held Asset Management, LLC retreat, and I'm still thinking about all the conversations we had.

There's something powerful about stepping away from the day-to-day and spending real, uninterrupted time with colleagues who genuinely understand the challenges we face in property management. The kind of conversations where you don't have to explain what leasing velocity means or why resident retention keeps you up at night.

What struck me most was how many of us are working on the same problems, like keeping residents engaged, improving communication touchpoints, reducing turnover, but approaching them from different angles. Some of the best ideas came from this event: casual conversations and impromptu brainstorming sessions that never would've happened on a Zoom call.

Huge thanks to the Birge & Held team for creating space for these connections. And to everyone who shared their wins, their struggles, and their creative solutions... you reminded me why I love this industry. We're all trying to build better communities, and we do that best when we learn from each other.

We've all been there: you send an important email to residents about a maintenance update, a community event, or a lease renewal… and crickets. 🦗

Here's the reality: **the average person's inbox is overwhelmed**

Your message, no matter how important, is drowning in a sea of promotional offers, newsletters, and spam.

Meanwhile, text messages get opened and read almost immediately — often within minutes of delivery.

The shift isn't about abandoning email entirely, but about meeting residents where they already are: on their phones, in the communication channel they actually check.

We just published a new resource that walks through exactly why email falls short for time-sensitive resident communication — and what property managers can do instead. From maintenance alerts to move-in coordination to renewal reminders, texting transforms how quickly and effectively you connect with your community.

If you've ever felt like your emails disappear into a void, this one's for you.
