Most people start using AI in the development phase.
I get it. That’s where it feels most obvious. Write my script. Draft my content. Build my Rise template.
But the phase where AI earns the most ROI in my workflow? Analysis.
Before I write one learning objective, I use AI to pressure-test my thinking on the performance problem. I share my hypothesis, the stakeholder request, what I know about the audience, and I ask it to push back.
It consistently surfaces questions I hadn’t thought to ask. It builds my SME interview question bank faster and better organized than anything I’d draft from scratch.
The analysis is better because I have a thinking partner available at any hour who will engage with my problem seriously.
That’s worth five minutes of setup before you ever open a design doc.
Try it on your next project. See what shifts.
What’s the first thing you usually hand off to AI? Curious what your starting point looks like.
