Introducing the "Virtual Reality Chromosome Browser." Borland Genetics now dynamically creates 3D chromosome maps for all profiles who have 1 or more DNA kits attached. The tool currently requires that you have reconstructed your ancestors using the software and uses an algorithm to assign the most distant ancestor each segment was inherited from. Future versions will also draw on cousin matches to the extent the cousins are connected in the user's tree. Think if it as if each segment wall is something along the lines of a thru-line dynamically calculated based on your matches. I'll be rolling this out at the East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference and those who attend in person can give it a spin there at my exhibit booth!
