How us tech support peeps feel!

Just remember, pushing the button to put it in sleep mode is not a restart. Closing your laptop lid does not mean it was turned off.
Most of the time your computer goes into sleep mode.
When we ask if you turned it off and back on. We are asking if you powered it completely down. Or restarted it.

We can see how long a computer has been up :)

It’s crazy how restarting your phone fixes everything (sometimes).
Apps glitching? Fixed.
Battery acting dramatic? Fixed.
Phone moving slower than someone texting back an ex? Fixed.

Honestly, a quick reboot is like giving your phone a caffeine shot.
Ten seconds later it’s suddenly alive again like, “Ohhh THAT’S what I was supposed to do.”

Moral of the story:
When in doubt, restart the damn thing. 😄📱🔥

How long has your computer been on without restarting?

• B. A few days
• C. A week 😬

💡 If you don’t know how to check? Do this:
For a windows computer

1️⃣ Right-click the Windows taskbar (the bar at the bottom of your screen)
2️⃣ Click Task Manager
3️⃣ Click the Performance tab
4️⃣ Look for Uptime

🍎 HOW TO CHECK UPTIME ON A MAC

If you’re on a Mac and don’t know how long it’s been running, do this 👇

Option 1 (Fastest way):

1️⃣ Click the Apple menu (🍎) in the top-left corner
2️⃣ Click About This Mac
3️⃣ Click System Report
4️⃣ Scroll down and click Software
5️⃣ Look for Time since boot

That number shows how long your computer has been running without a restart.

No judgment.

When you restart, you:
Clear out stuck programs
Refresh system memory
Finish updates running in the background
Give your computer a much-needed reset

If your computer has been on for days (or weeks 😅), a restart can solve:
Slowness
Freezing
Apps not opening
Random weird behavior
