What an insane storm!

⚠️⚠️BREAKING: 32.8 inches of snow measured at T.F. Green. This is officially more snow than the Blizzard of '78! HISTORIC!

The most significant snowstorm in four years is about to begin. Get any final errands finished in the next 3-4 hours, as the snow intensity will pick up from there and become very heavy overnight. Combine up to 2 feet of snow with 60+ mph wind gusts in spots and it’s a recipe for an incredibly impactful Blizzard. Hunker down tonight and tomorrow!

The incoming blizzard of 2026 has a good chance to be a top 5 snowstorm on record in the Providence area. We're predicting 18 to 28 inches at PVD. There needs to be more than 19.1 inches for it to be a top 5 snowstorm.

I doubt it beats the blizzard of 78' for the top spot, but that can't be completely ruled out.
