A government-run innovation program at is transforming student ideas into real income-generating ventures, empowering young innovators to turn classroom projects into opportunities beyond graduation.

Out of 50 projects evaluated, 25 teams were selected for mentorship and training, while 10 advanced to the final pitching stage, with four emerging as winners.

At Lwera Electronics and semiconductors Limited, we celebrate every innovator who took part in this journey. Innovation is not only about winning — it is about learning, building, and creating solutions that shape the future.

Lwera Electronics and Semiconductors Limited is proud to provide Product Assembly as a Service (PAAS) for Karaa’s IoT-enabled electric bike battery systems.

Our scope of work includes:
• Battery pack assembly
• IoT hardware integration
• Wiring and harnessing
• Enclosure assembly
• Firmware loading
• Functional testing and quality assurance
• Production and deployment support

By leveraging Lwera’s advanced electronics manufacturing and product engineering capabilities, Karaa Africa is able to accelerate the deployment of smart battery solutions with real-time monitoring, connectivity, diagnostics, and an enhanced user experience — while ensuring reliability, safety, and scalability.
This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to advancing smart mobility and sustainable technology solutions in Africa.
