For anyone who wants to reduce stress, but anxiety, fear, and irritability get in the way, InTempo is an app and phone case that uses the rhythm and tempo of the music to calm you down. Unlike antidepressants/tranquilizers, it provides a healthy, affordable solution in the form of a phygital game that does not cause side effects. InTempo consists of an app and a tactile phone case with force senso

rs inside that are connected to the app and show how well you can repeat the beat of a song. Every design decision for InTempo was based on consultations with musicians, psychologists, and psychotherapists (CBT and EMDR methods) and existing research on the effects of music and rhythm on human physiology. + was initiated based on the author's experience with panic attacks and the experience of her friends/acquaintances with anxiety. The project became a finalist in the Lexus Design Awards 2021 competition, was published in international/national design publications (most recently in AlTiba-9), and became part of the "I know how it is" podcast.
