"I’d like to take this opportunity to appreciate our important platform and this valuable partnership that we have with Merck Foundation as ambassador of ‘More than a Mother’ since 2016.
Together with Merck Foundation, I am fully committed to work closely to introduce innovative ideas that will engage different sectors to create a culture shift with the aim to break the stigma of infertility, stopping GBV, ending Child Marriage, Ending FGM, supporting girls’ education and empowering our women and girls.
Therefore, together with Merck Foundation, we have launched ‘More Than a Mother’ Awards to raise awareness these social issues, for Media, Filmmakers, Musicians and Fashion designers.
Moreover, we have launched together, the awards on the theme of ‘Promoting Healthy Lifestyles’ for Media, Filmmakers, Musicians and Fashion designers to empower and encourage them to be champions to raise awareness and sensitize our communities about health and social issues. I am looking forward to meeting you in November at Merck foundation annual Africa Asia Luminary in November for the first, time face to face after coronavirus pandemic.” ~ H.E.
