Made mini cinnamon rolls with puff pastry dough. The kids love them, so I now I have a quick and easy treat, that I can whip up!

More polymer clay creations. Made these mini planters for some mini succulents. I made sure to put some drainage holes, so I hope these work out. If anything, they’re adorable. I did buy some air dry terracotta clay, to make some bigger pots, since tomorrow looks like it’ll be the hottest day of the year (104°F), I’ll get that clay out and test it out!

Played with polymer clay, for the first time in 20 years… I could only think to make beads for a crochet project I have planned 😂 but the colors remind me of agate, and I love that!

Finished the market tote, just in time to head out to the store! Made out of cotton yarn, for easy cleaning and durability. I used pattern for her Summer Color Block Tote, just modified the pattern due to the materials I used.

I had four skeins of Wool Ease, in Spice Market, and couldn’t figure fire out what to make. So I thought a basket would be fun to try! So searching around on Pinterest, I came across this pattern by called, wait for it… the Jessie Stash Basket, so I just had to make it! It’s a little wonky, being my first attempt at crocheting a basket, but I had enough yarn left over to make a cute front pocket and tassel! No I have a cute little carry all for my crochet supplies!

My kids wanted to get their paints out today, so we painted the afternoon away. I asked my eldest what he would like for me to paint, and he said a dinosaur pool party. I couldn’t say no to that!
I used watercolor confections in Currents, Terrain and the Classics, I only wished I had grabbed a better piece of watercolor paper, I was using the cheap stuff I had for the kids, and let’s just say, I’ll never scoff at the price tag of a good watercolor paper again!

After a failed attempt to collect free firewood for our camping trip, I came home and just cuddled with the little one and finally finished Anne with an “E”. And just like Anne Shirley Cuthbert, I tend to over embellish simple things.

Today was another beautiful day! And sadly, for the kids, it was the last day of winter break. So we loaded up, packed a picnic, and went to our favorite park! We played on the new playground, walked around the pond and played putt putt. It was a really nice day with the kids!

Yesterday’s and today’s entry. Apparently cleaning never ends.... but on the bright side, it was a gorgeous day, here in the Houston area! My husband works away a lot, so we cooked a delicious meal together, before we said our goodbyes 😉. Swipe to see a full view of my journal so far!
