We are pleased to announce the details of the UNKNOWN BOOK FESTIVAL “Bookstore Residency” (책방 레지던시) in South Korea.

This year, two Thai artists Wimonporn ( Owner : Spacebar Zine ) and Wadfah have been selected to participate in an artist residency in the historic Baedari Secondhand Bookstore Alley, Incheon.

Wimonporn will be in residence at Jiphyeonjeon (헌책방 집현전), the oldest secondhand bookstore in Incheon.

Her residency program features:
- The creation of a new zine inspired by the Baedari neighborhood
- An exhibition and showcase of zines created by Thai artists
- A panel discussion exploring the landscape of running independent bookstores today

Wadfah will be hosted by Nabinalda (나비날다책방), a charming bookstore renovated from a former local shop. Throughout October, she will present multidisciplinary works spanning music, illustration, and visual arts.

The festival will officially take place from October 17–18.

At The Fake Art Book Fair, Spacebar Zine & The Independent Print Club joined an insightful panel discussion with HOKO (Singapore), publisher of Science of the Secondary, and The Book Society (Korea).

We exchanged perspectives on publishing in Asia, the physical spaces for printed matter, bookmaking processes, and each country’s unique print culture.

A huge thank you to the organizers and everyone who joined the session! Today is the final day come say hi at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei!

SOUTH EAST PARK is bringing The Book of Apes | ตำราวานร to IPC Spacebar Zine , a mini zine exhibition about the rise of ape civilisation, the fall of human rule, and a few things we picked up along the way.

This zine imagines a world after apes are liberated from humans. In the year 1 A.S.S. (Anno Satus Simian, “the Year of the Birth of Apes”), apes build their own societies, learn from humanity’s mistakes, and write their own history while remembering the atrocities committed against them and honouring those who endured and fell to the absurdity of human rule.

The Book of Apes marks the beginning of a new era.
