My laptop is running slow what can i do to speed it up more?
hello, i will be glad to help you on this..well, most computers run slow because they either have viruses or spyware, many programs, low RAM, or problems with the system registry..these are the most common problems, now, make sure you have an effective virus and spyware removing program with you and make sure it is up to date..i would reccommend norton antivirus 2006 http://www.soft32.com/download_125512.ht... but because it has so many costs that irritate many people you can use AVG http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/... or Avast antivirus ..but be sure to run all updates after which you run a full system scan to ensure you kill off any infections if any...after this and u are sure you have no infections, scan your windows registry to make sure it's intact, for this i reccommend you download and run registry mechanic 5.2 ..thishttp://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic... is the best registry fixing tool around and it will fix all errors...after this you will have gone far enough, however, run add and remove programs from the control panel and look out for any programs you don't use and uninstall them....then run disk cleanup from the start menu-all programs-applications-system menu-dsk clean up coz this helps to free up space in your hard disk thats been occupied by irrelevant files...after this you have just tweaked up your computer, restart it and you are ready to go..of u need all these programs i got them, u can email me or IM me and i'll send em...let me know how it goes, good luck...
oh, a few other tips, u can purchase more RAM at any computer outlet. and another thing, when you have time run disk defragmenter to organise you files...thanks
