❄️🇳🇴Norway’s cold hits different, where temperatures and wind chill go well past what most of India experiences. That’s what stands between you and a trip spent shivering instead of sightseeing.
Norway’s outdoor stores are expensive, so don’t plan on renting protective gear once you land.
Here’s what to pack 👇
🧵 Base Layer: Thermal tops & leggings in merino wool or synthetic. Skip cotton as it holds moisture and won’t keep you warm.
🧥 Mid Layer: A fleece or light down jacket. Add or shed it as temps swing through the day.
🌬️ Outer Layer: A windproof + waterproof shell jacket. Non-negotiable for coastal Norway, where wind and drizzle show up uninvited.
🧤 Extremities: Thermal socks, gloves, a beanie, and a neck gaiter or scarf. Most heat escapes from your head, hands, and feet.
🥾 Footwear: Waterproof boots with solid grip, broken in before the trip. Fjord towns = wet cobblestones + uneven trails. New boots + long walking days = blisters you’ll regret.
🎒 Extras: A reusable water bottle, a compact umbrella (coastal towns get sudden showers), and a power bank (your phone dying on a glacier hike is not the vibe).
📌 Save this before your Norway trip.
