Dear Christian, we have a God who brings good out of evil, and who brought the greatest good out of the greatest evil in Jesus’ death and resurrection.

In my church’s new sermon series on Genesis 37-50, we’ve been seeing how God uses sinful humans, rotten intentions and complete mess to bring his royal promise of a King to fruition. 👑 So take heart, even if we only see the sad and bad now.

My sister summed it up in this simple and catchy rhyme that is pretty helpful 🙂 Hope this is a good reminder for you too!

“I’m too far gone to be saved, God has probably already given up on me…”

Ever felt this way? Ephesians (a book in the Bible) tells us these amazing words:

“And you were dead in your sins… But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead… made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved” Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-6‬

Even the deepest pit that is death could not stop God’s love from reaching us. So take heart - not in yourself, but in God’s grace and power to save.

If you or someone you know needs to be encouraged by this today, may this be a much needed reminder.

It’s been awhile. Realised that running a small biz is both a thrill and a dread for me at times. I get excited imagining all the things I can/could/should be doing, but at the same time I dread the thought that I’ll probably never get down to making most of them happen.

That’s just how I work - I’ve never been the go-getter, overachieving kind; I started this little shop simply because I wanted a place where people could find beautiful truths with beautiful designs (hopefully). But all the marketing, keeping up with social media, trying to boost sales… I wonder if I’m cut out for this.

But I was reminded this week that most of what we aim to achieve on earth will either never meet our full expectations, or turn to dust eventually. Yet if we can just use our short lives to show, in any way, a glimpse of God and His kingdom, that is work that will last forever.

So I hope that even though I’m not the best business person, you may still see a glimpse of our marvellous God through my work in some way. 🌿
