What retirement benefit is offered under RA 7641?
▪ R.A. 7641: The New Law on Retirement

Employees with at least five years of service who retire between the ages of sixty (60) and sixty-five (65) are entitled to minimum retirement compensation under the legislation. The law further stipulates that qualifying retiring employees will receive minimum retirement compensation in the event that there is no retirement plan.

On the other hand, if also a SSS Member, the retiree is entitled for a lifetime monthly pension that will be awarded to members who have made at least 120 contributions per month; members who have made fewer than 120 contributions per month will receive a lump sum payment.

Benefits for paternity leave are provided to married male employees whose legal wife gave birth or experienced a miscarriage. All male employees are eligible for this perk, regardless of their work position. The benefit is seven (7) days of fully paid leave credits.

What are the guidelines in the Philippines regarding holiday pay?

Every employee is entitled to receive their regular daily wage on scheduled holidays, with the exception of retail and service enterprises that typically employ less than ten people. Any holiday may be required to be worked by the employer, however in such case, the worker will be compensated at double their regular rate.

13th-month pay is a required monetary reward provided to all eligible employees by Presidential Decree No. 851 on or before December 24 of the current year so that workers can appropriately enjoy Christmas and New Year's Day.
