A Run for Hope: Transforming Struggles into Possibilities
💧 Why I Ran 6 Kilometers — and What I Realised

When I first read about children who walk 6 kilometers every single day just to collect water, I felt a deep ache in my heart.
But it wasn’t until I joined the Global 6K Run for Water that I began to grasp what their days truly feel like.

It took me an hour to complete those 6 kilometers.
By the end, I was tired, thirsty, and counting down every step.
And yet… I ran without carrying anything.
I ran on safe roads.
I ran knowing that when I got home, I could turn on a tap.

For millions of children, this isn’t a run — it’s survival.
They walk those same 6 kilometers, barefoot under the sun, carrying heavy jerrycans filled with water that isn’t even clean.
Each trip means missing school, losing time to play, and giving up a piece of childhood.

That realisation stayed with me:
💧 What was a one-hour run for me… is a lifetime struggle for them.

That day changed me.
It opened my eyes to how something as simple as water — something I’ve always had without thinking — can mean life, health, and hope to others.

So I’ve decided not to stop at running.
I’m using this experience to raise awareness and support — to help bring clean water to children who deserve more than survival.
Because every child deserves to learn, laugh, and live fully.
