Bayint Naung Bridge No. 1 & 2, Myanmar taken by TeLEOS-1 © ST Engineering Electronics 2018 on 05 Nov 2018.

Bayint Naung Bridge No. 1 & 2 is located in western Yangon Province. Bayint Naung Bridge No. 2 is easily identifiable by the steel truss arch structures, while Bayint Naung Bridge No. 1 is located just beside it. Spanning across the Hline River, both bridges connects Pathein and Yangon City, helping to ease the traffic congestion between Hlinethaya and Mayangon townships.

Traditionally, Bayint Naung Bridge No. 1 handled both sides of the traffic, causing massive jams during rush hours. After the construction of Bayint Naung Bridge No. 2, both bridges are used separately for different sides of traffic. Traffic coming from Mayangon (right side of the image) towards Hlinethaya (left side of the image) will travel using Bayint Naung Bridge No. 2, and Bayint Naung Bridge No. 1 will be used in the opposite direction.

Tanjong Pagar Terminal, Singapore taken by TeLEOS-1 © ST Engineering Electronics 2018 on 06 Jun 2018.

Singaporeans, have you driven along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) and notice a huge number of cars parked neatly on the Tanjong Pagar Terminal port? This is because of car transhipment services being carried out at the Tanjong Pagar Terminal. Since the start of 2017, the Tanjong Pagar Terminal container port activities are being relocated to the new Tuas mega-port – Singapore’s Next Generation Port. The Tanjong Pagar Terminal will continue with ancillary services and other maritime-related business options until the lease expires in 2027.
