In view of the increasingly scarce groundwater resources and serious pollution of surface water in China, FT developed a 5-stage purification process and promoted the technology into China households through FT’s spin-off company in China. To better improve the drinking quality at affordable price, FT customized two models of home water purifiers by collaborating with one of the world’s top water
purifier manufacturers. To ensure safe drinking water quality, FT conducted a three-year R&D project. In 2012, Smart Water Quality Machine (SWQM) was launched, which could closely monitor working conditions of water purifiers and optimize the replacement cycle of cartridge filters. The integration of the SWQM with two models of home water purifier completed in 2013 and the SWQM equipped products have already been sold in China market.
