And that is why we want to share with you the creation of the Scrum Singapore logo. First of all, the credits should go to Scrum Singapore Co-Founder, Scrum Master and our fearless Graphics Designer Jenny Yung.
As you all know, a logo is the representation of the company. Our approach was rather straightforward, to be honest. We started brainstorming on 'aspects' that we find important for Scrum Singapore.

We Singaporeans are proud of our country, and therefore we thought it is important to incorporate the national colours as a sign of respect.

For the font, we wanted to go for something informal and fun. One of the characteristics of our classes is that they are somewhat unconventional. We don't believe in spaces with a big meeting or school setting. We love teaching interactively, with plenty of room to move. We don't like these "we-talk-you-listen" classes because we believe they are not fun and not effective. Instead, all our courses are redesigned into workshops to increase fun while learning scrum.

At first, we wanted to include a Singaporean flag or the Merlion. Because let's be honest, when people think of Singapore, these are often the two things that come up. We asked around, and we learned that the Singaporean flag and the Merlion are often used. Too often, actually!
And this is not what we want because we want we separate ourselves and yet stay connected to Singapore.
So what we came up with is a mix of both. In our logo, you can see the famous two circles symbolising Scrum, where we changed the smaller circle into the "Moon and Stars" of Singapore. And what do you know? PERFECT MATCH!
So this is the story behind the creation of our Scrum Singapore logo. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We're here to assist.
