LocalHero is a platform that connects local businesses and neighbours with each other so that surplus food and other items that are usable and would otherwise be thrown away, can be saved from landfills and shared and reused. This could be food that is nearing its expiry date, has blemishes but is still edible, spare groceries from your fridge, bread from your baker or any household items that you

do not need. It's super easy to use, just take a picture of the item you want to share, post it on Hero with a description and your neighbours will see it. They can book the items on the platform and arrange to come pick them up. Businesses can post items they want to give away as well. You can browse all listing near you as well. Small actions can lead to big change and by simply sharing what you would otherwise throw away, collectively we can make a big impact on the global waste problem. Por ejemplo piedes compartir nuestra página con tus amigos en Facebook o Instagram o explicar nuestro proyectos en tu escuela, también puedes hablar con tus vecinos, o recomendar a restaurantes y cafeterías que utilicen LocalHero para donar comida que no necesitan
