The results of the Swedish Championship in Terraforming Mars are in, and we have a Polish winner this year, Tomasz Jankowski! The other finalists were last year's winner Rikard Johansson, Kristoffer Björkstrand, and Jesper Strid (the only one to win all 3 qualifying games). It was a wonderful day, and as the founder of the Mars The Mars Society, Dr. Robert Zubrin said, "Life to Mars and Mars to life! Great fun!"

We're in the middle of the Swedish Championship in Terraforming Mars, this year attracting 80 players from a whopping 7 different countries! Perfect gathering for the 10th anniversary for Terraforming Mars!

Legacy of Mars is coming along nicely! We are in constant back-and-forth with the factory to land all production details, receiving samples and mockups. Here is a "white sample" of the dual layered player board, the first player marker miniature (this color is only for the samples, not for final production), the terraforming parameter marker, the trade fleets (which we need to enlarge slightly), and the population marker (placed on the prototype paper tile).

This weekend we're sending Jonathan to attend Dutch Open, so far the largest tournament for Terraforming Mars in Europe, attracting many international visitors. We're happy to attend the event and hand over a Legacy of Mars prototype to the winner.

The Legacy of Mars is about terraforming planet after planet, with the most successful terraformer becoming Governor for that world. The better title you receive, the more Title Points (TP) you bring with you through the campaign.

The campaign is then decided on the last mission (4) where you bring together your VP score for that mission and all TP you have from previous planets...

The Legacy of Mars - the campaign game for Terraforming Mars - will hopefully be the highlight of the entire franchise. The basic concept is terraforming new planets as your corporation keeps growing and developing. One new feature is the blue event cards. These represent long-term projects (often shipments from a distant Earth) that you put progress resources on until you finally flip it face down into your stack of event cards.

We're excited to release Wilderness early next year. One of the exciting challenges of the game is to use your unique character ability and your Shipwreck card to you advantage, as you try to be the first survivor to cross the wilderness...

Northern Kingdom - the upcoming new base game for Kingdom Legacy - has many new themes and mechanics to explore. One is the elder theme, where you follow the life of a person becoming an elder on their last stage. They then lead to 1 of 2 successors, a new person you can upgrade into a new elder etc. This introduces an interesting forking path mechanic! If you focus on elders, you may end up with quite a host of powerful leaders for your tribe!
