Art of Gerner: Graphics & Arts A representation of my artwork through the years, both graphics, oil, water colours and gouache techniques. Det är naturen som inspirerar mig!

I mitt skapande använder jag olika tekniker - akvarell, gouache och olja. Till favoriterna hör att blanda akvarell och gouache då uppnår man helt fantastiska ljus- och färgeffekter! Nature is what inspires me! I use different techniques - watercolour, gouache and oil. One of my favourite techniques is to mix watercolour and gouache as it gives an amazing light and colour effects. Much of the inspiration comes from Russian fairy tales and Feng Shui. There is always time for a fairytale...

Yet another artwork with the Khokhloma pattern and this one is the most typical one. That is because of the black background, which would be of the result of blackened tin power on the wood surface.

This artwork is a representation of traditional Russian painting handcraft - Khokhloma ( Russian: Хохлома). It is a very colourful handcraft, often used to decorate plates, trays and wooden furniture 🎨The handcraft goes back to 17th century in it’s history and is still widely used.
