Alumni Swedia meets the Swedish Institute 🇮🇩🇸🇪

A warm fika and a productive conversation at the Swedish Institute office in Stockholm.

Chairperson of Alumni Swedia Edwin Tintin met with Niklas Dahlberg and Rebecca Andersson, Alumni Managers at the Swedish Institute; together with Jenny Sigurs, Communications Manager.

The meeting focused on current and future initiatives, opportunities for greater synergy between Alumni Swedia, Svenska institutet and Sweden in Indonesia , and ways to keep our alumni community connected while strengthening the longstanding ties between Sweden and Indonesia.

We also discussed the Sweden Alumni Network Network, the global network run by the Swedish Institute that brings together alumni of Swedish universities. Alumni Swedia is proud to be part of this wider community, creating opportunities to connect, share knowledge and build lasting relationships across borders.

With more Indonesians choosing to study in Sweden, these connections are becoming increasingly important. For the 2026 academic year, more than 1,100 Indonesian students have been accepted to universities across Sweden.

From current students and alumni to institutions and partners, we look forward to continuing to build bridges between Sweden and Indonesia.

Introducing the new Alumni Swedia logo 🇸🇪

Launched on 6 June 2026, in celebration of Sweden’s National Day, our new identity reflects who we are and what connects us.

Designed with a Scandinavian approach — simple, sleek, and modern — the logo represents a community of professionals bound by shared experiences of studying, working, and living in Sweden.

The iconic yellow vertical line symbolizes a bridge connecting Indonesia, Sweden, and our alumni network. It also reflects a forward-looking spirit, continuous progress, and the lasting impact of Swedish values: simplicity, innovation, and functionality.

In Sweden Blue and Sweden Yellow, this new identity is more than a logo — it is a symbol of connection, collaboration, and community.

Once connected by Sweden. Forever connected through Alumni Swedia.
