Erfolgreicher Abschluss: Advanced Python für das BOSCH Autonomous Driving Team! 🚀

​Ich freue mich, den erfolgreichen Abschluss einer weiteren intensiven Trainingssession zum Thema Advanced Python Topics mit dem hochtalentierten Engineering-Team von Bosch (Robotaxi- / Autonomous Driving-Projekt) bekannt zu geben.

​Die behandelten Themen waren durchweg anspruchsvoll, tiefgründig und direkt auf die hochkomplexen Anforderungen zugeschnitten, die Bosch an autonome Fahrsysteme stellt. Gemeinsam haben wir uns mit fortgeschrittenen Konzepten auseinandergesetzt, darunter:

​Advanced OOP: Metaclasses, Dataclasses, Pydantic und Descriptors.

​System & Security: Advanced File Locking und sichere Dateioperationen.

​Concurrency: Multithreading und Asyncio für maximale Performance und Echtzeitnähe.

​Integration: Das Schreiben von Python-Wrappern für C-Bibliotheken und vieles mehr.

​Es war eine großartige Erfahrung zu sehen, wie diese soliden, ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Konzepte direkt in die Praxis der autonomen Mobilität von morgen einfließen. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Bosch-Team für den fantastischen Einsatz und die tiefgehenden technischen Diskussionen!

Another intensive, hands-on training session wrapped up! This time, we had the pleasure of working closely with the incredible technical team at Bosch, who are pushing the boundaries of innovation in advanced ADAS, and Autonomous Driving projects.

​When you are building the future of autonomous vehicles, a superficial understanding of your operating system just doesn’t cut it. You need to know exactly what’s happening under the hood.

​That’s why this wasn’t just a theoretical lecture—it was a deep-dive, hands-on engineering experience designed to bridge the gap between the developer's and the system administrator's perspectives.

​Here is a glimpse of what we tackled through extensive practical exercises:
​From the Hardware Up: Exploring the lowest levels of architecture, from CPU interactions to the mechanics of virtual memory.

​Containerization & Isolation: Demystifying kernel namespaces and how Docker leverages them for secure, isolated environments.

​Advanced Linux Networking: Routing, traffic control, and network namespaces critical for connected automotive systems.

​Automation: Writing rock-solid, production-ready shell scripting to streamline development and deployment pipelines.

Today we wrapped up an intensive Embedded Software Architecture & Design training together with the Software Architecture team at Wabtec.

The training was highly practical: participants designed the software architecture of a realistic embedded system from scratch, starting with requirements and progressing through architectural decomposition, interfaces, deployment decisions, and key design trade-offs.

Along the way, we explored advanced topics such as:
✅ Architecture views and traceability
✅ Real-time constraints, memory and CPU budgeting
✅ Embedded C++ design patterns
✅ Safety-oriented design principles
✅ UML-based architecture modeling
✅ Architectural trade-off analysis

What stood out most was the quality of the discussions and the focus on building systems that are not only functional, but also maintainable, scalable, and robust over the long term.
