Congratulations to those who were selected to participate in one of the UTMB Mont-Blanc races this year! 🥳🎉

I also finished 3x UTMB and 1x TDS between 2012 and 2018. I said I would try to get back there when I will have the chance to finish it in 24 hours, meaning to do the Mont-Blanc loop through 3 countries, France, Italy, Switzerland and back to France in one day. Where did this obsession come from? I have no idea, but I know it stuck with me pretty well, even after 8 years of hiatus this goal hasn't faded.
In fact, with the Ultrafitness Performance project, this goal has taken on a different meaning, it is no longer a final destination, but just a step on the path of trying to be as good as possible, to understand and implement in Spectro.Life concepts never before discovered in human physiology and performance, which will eventually be applicable even in the health control of sedentary people 🙏
I can be proud that every time I started, I finished the race, and even most of the time in the top 100 (races of 2600 participants). However, there was only one time when I didn't think about quitting, in 2013. In 2012, at the first participation after 30 km, I wanted to quit, in the end I crossed the finish line with Silviu Bălan in 227th place, and at the best result, in 2018 I suffered for 70 km in the middle of the race.
People go into the race with optimism and as the example above shows, it is even possible to maximize your chances of finishing. However, the numbers look quite bleak. In the last 10 years, the dropout rate has not decreased at all, although the top performances have improved significantly. About 35% of those who start, do not finish the race, and the CCC is not far behind in terms of numbers either. Being from Romania, I can relate to the Romanian representatives who even managed to increase this number last year and not in the desired direction.
And now if I haven't lost you on the way, it means that you are really interested in the topic and maybe you can allow me a little advertisement. Spectro.Life, among other things, was created to solve exactly this problem. The body uses lipids, glycogen and external calories to make the loop around Mont-Blanc and many people use glycogen too quickly in the race, not having trained enough to burn lipids or digest carbohydrates, finishing the race becomes impossible. In Spectro we calculate exactly the intensity at which you need to race to use your energy optimally and maximize your chances of finishing. And through the Ultrafitness Performance and Ultrafitness Advanced projects we help you develop the skills necessary to finish such a race.
Now that you are expert in optimizing your race, I have nothing left to say, except a big Congratulations on your selection 🤘😎 and Good luck 👏 in achieving your goals!
