In Bloom 🌸 in honour of the incredible colours popping out of the ground here in Germany as Spring sets in.

Sometimes subtle colour tweaks can make all the difference.
I wasn’t super happy with the original colour of these acrylic florals, but thankfully, Photoshop is a pattern designer’s best friend!

Here is ‘In Bloom’ a beautifully detail floral pattern paired with a simple stripe to complement.

The only painting I managed to do while in Lisbon over Easter! Belém Tower is a stunning, 16th century fortification, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To top it off, it’s not far from Única Fábrica dos Pastéis de Belém where you can find the most incredible Portuguese tarts 🤤 🇵🇹 highly recommend!!!

The tile work in this area, and throughout Lisbon & Cascais, is incredible! Can’t wait to use it as inspiration for some upcoming patterns!

LEST WE FORGET.

Taking ANZAC biscuits into my kids’ International School in Germany today to celebrate ANZAC Day, the 110th anniversary. I’m loaded with red cupcake wrappers and pipe-cleaners for each of the kids to make a poppy to take home 🍪 🇦🇺 🌺

From the stunning blues’s of Portugal’s incredible tile-clad buildings…happy Easter! I hope it was filled with chocolate, laughter and happiness…as all Sundays should be!

We spent the day with chicken skin, braving the 15-degree waters of the North Atlantic Ocean off Cascais, Portugal!!

3 years…

3 years ago, I had a stroke.

At age 34, what we thought was a bad migraine turned out to be a lot more serious. Tests in hospital found a hole in my heart (which has been fixed) and I’m incredibly lucky to have recovered well with the incredible support of my family.

Thanks to my amazing Husband, Kids, Mum, Sisters and friends who helped me through in the best possible ways. I’m now back to myself. It took a while, but we got here…and for that I am incredibly grateful.

If you can take one thing from this, please, please know the warning signs of a stroke - remember FAST:

* Face 😐 Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
* Arms 💪🏼 Can they lift both arms?
* Speech 💬 Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you?
* Time ⏰ Time Is critical. If you see any of these signs call 000 straight away.

Found this buried in the depths of some Procreate files I’d digitally painted years ago! Nice little reminder that while it’s the tail end of winter here in Hamburg, shortly, Spring will be upon us!

Now to bring them to life in a pattern. I think this might make nice bedsheets…thoughts?
