had only ever tried belt tensioners at expos, on other people's rigs, turned right up. What he remembers is getting squeezed on the brakes and not much else, so he got in touch and asked for a QS-BT1 to live with on his own setup.

The thing that got him was not the braking. It was mid corner, where the wheel goes light and you are mostly guessing, and one belt is still holding load while the other has released. He calls it a second source of information next to the wheelbase.

Braking is the most noticeable force in a real car, and the first one to disappear in a static rig.

spent around 600 hours on a QS-BT1 finding out how much of it comes back, across racing sims and flight sims, in daily use rather than a week of testing. The review is as direct about the weak points as the strong ones, which is why it is worth the watch. 💪

🏁 14 years of sim racing, and it took two days with the QS-BT1 to reset the bar: "My first impression was simply wow."

Andris built his rig up over more than a decade, from a homemade setup in front of a console to a full triple-screen cockpit. The active belt system is the newest addition, and it changed how the car feels around him more than any upgrade before it. Braking, traction loss, weight shifting under load: all of it now reaches him through the belts instead of just the screen.

He found us through community reviews and the team on our Discord. Next on his list is a 3DOF motion system, staying inside the Qubic ecosystem.

The main highlights of this release are low-speed acceleration and speed smoothing for iRacing and Assetto Corsa EVO, additional telemetry interpolation for Flight Simulator 2020/2024, and a FiveM compatibility fix for GTA V.

just posted the full build of a rally training simulator we are pretty proud of, and it is not a standard one. 💡

The driver sits on 5DOF set with four QS-220 actuators over a QS-CH2 traction loss platform. But the interesting part is the second seat. His co-driver got a QS-H13 seat mover and his own QS-BT1 belt tensioner, on a custom base cut to match the driver's seat height, with a kick plate like the real car. 🚙

Why bother? Because a co-driver reads notes, not the road. He calls a corner, waits to feel the car take it, then calls the next one. The timing comes from the seat. In a fixed chair that cue is simply gone.

First event on the finished rig: 4WD Prepared class win and the quickest overall time of the day.
