1000 realities 1000 realities is a software studio focused on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

With great pleasure, we present progress on our newest solution: NUX VR, created by the 1000 realities studio team. In a nutshell, NUX VR is going to be a Voice User Interface creator for Virtual Reality allowing intuitive SDK exportation into Unreal Engine-based applications.

👇 Below we present just a few snippets from the many tests conducted with users. It's a PoC stage to show off the final functionality in an exemplar, built from the ground up, future office. Test users realized different tasks using just their voice during a virtual onboarding scenario in a new company. The users were non-native speakers with different English language skills. We were so pleased and proud to watch the users laugh, be surprised and fully engaged in conversation with Bobby, the virtual assistant. With NUX VR, the conversation in VR works like a charm!

In creating NUX VR we have set two main goals.
🔸 Firstly, to make the VR experience even more immersive by transferring the interaction from traditional holographic text labels and buttons that you press to natural voice interactions.
🔸 Secondly, to provide an intuitive, browser-based tool for creative design teams that will make it easy for them to provide this kind of experience.

Use cases of voice interactions go far beyond the futuristic corporate game that we've created:
🔸 Imagine a Harry Potter VR game where you cast spells using your voice and you can ask Hagrid to hand you tools and equipment that you need.
🔸 Or a safety training in VR when you use your voice to ask others to call the emergency services or warn people about a fire.
🔸 It would fit perfectly in industrial training scenarios, unlocking the possibility to ask a virtual tutor for guidance or a virtual assistant for help.

Obviously, smartphones have become increasingly indispensable in our digital age. And, any smartphone can be an augmented reality platform to create a shopping environment for customers.

We recently partnered with NTTドコモ（NTT DOCOMO）and TANSEISHA CO., Ltd. in a cutting-edge project that demonstrated an Augmented Reality Guide at the NTT DOCOMO History Exhibition Square in Tokyo. The AR Guide enhanced the visitor experience and helped guests discover the world and history of mobile phones.

Visitors did not need goggles or a headset. In fact, anyone could experience a completely new level of interaction by using only a smartphone. Visitors were able to view the exhibit along with high-quality AR content; 3D models and videos with interesting facts and quizzes were layered onto the real-world exhibition. Children and adults had the option to choose their own guided experience, so everyone could learn and have fun while experiencing AR!

This collaboration allowed us to show Edge Realities’ unique mapping feature, its power to transmit large amounts of persistent data with low latency, and its vast potential for use. Our solution helped TANSEISHA deploy their AR guide application on the docomo Open Innovation Cloud which has the features of MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing) such as low latency and high security required in the 5G era. Visitors had the opportunity to experience an immersive and memorable journey.

What’s else? This practical application can be deployed in places like museums, tourist facilities, and commercial facilities.
