Changing the theme on a single click?
Most online store owners face an annoying problem. Every time they want to change a color for a holiday sale, they have to contact a developer, wait for code changes, and wait for a deployment.
While building my open source project, next-open-ecommerce, I wanted to build something simpler. Instead of painting the wall, I built a stage lighting rig.
• The developer creates the themes and registers them in a central theme registry.
• The store manager opens the admin dashboard and clicks a button to switch the mood.
• Page themes and colors switch instantly on the screen without rebuilding the code.
• Non-technical team members stay in control of their storefront appearance.
Seeing this work across static components feels like magic. But I know real-world scale brings hidden edge cases, like cache invalidation and bundle sizes.
